METRO POLICE SEEKS PURSE SNATCHING SUSPECT
SAVANNAH, GA (December 22, 2009): Savannah-Chatham Metro Police (SCMPD) seeks a suspect in a December 7th purse snatching that occurred at the Starbucks located at 2100 E. Victory Drive.
Just before 7:00 p.m., December 7th, a male suspect approached a customer who was sitting outside the Starbucks having a cup of coffee, the suspect began to make “small talk” with the victim, even sitting at the table with her, then without warning grabbed her purse and ran.
The suspect is described as a black male 5’8”, 150 lbs, clean shaven with short hair. He is described as having either braces or gold teeth and on the day of the incident he was wearing a black jacket, black dickie pants and a Chicago Bulls hat.
Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to contact Island Precinct detectives at 912-525-2355 or Crime Stoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) and in the body type “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash award.
